Position Overview

We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Associate – Procurement.
The role involves managing procurement operations end-to-end, from purchase order creation and supplier coordination to performance analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of procurement experience—preferably within industries such as Energy, Power, Aviation, or Automotive—and strong working knowledge of SAP.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Order Management

  • Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs) based on demands or requisitions received from engineering or planning teams.

  • Validate demand accuracy using SAP and ensure compliance with business requirements.

  • Drive order acknowledgment and fulfillment in line with Need Dates or Promise Dates, coordinating with suppliers, logistics, and fulfillment teams.

Coordination and Communication

  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, material issues, and delivery delays.

  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Warehouse, Sourcing, Quality, and Finance to ensure seamless procurement operations.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Ensure adherence to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Prepare regular reports on personal and team performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Non-Catalog Part Management

  • Manage and update non-catalog requests with complete details (contract numbers, approvers, delivery locations).

  • Collaborate with Category Managers to align procurement activities with overall supply chain strategies.

  • Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQ), evaluate supplier quotations, and recommend optimal sourcing solutions.

Follow-Up and Escalation Management

  • Conduct weekly reviews of open and pending requests; follow up with stakeholders for timely closures.

  • Escalate unresolved or high-impact issues following established escalation procedures.

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.

  • 3–6 years of procurement experience, preferably in the Energy, Power, Aviation, or Automobile industries.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

  • Proficient in SAP for order management and reporting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes within the manufacturing or direct materials domain.

  • MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
