Position Overview

The Associate – Credit & Capital Management Services (CCMS) role forms part of HSBC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking division and sits within the newly established Business Credit Office (BCO). This function serves as a single control point for Credit & Lending activities, ensuring strong client service alongside robust credit risk management.

This UAE National–only role is client-facing and combines credit advisory, financial analysis, and stakeholder management to support Relationship Managers and Credit Risk teams across the end-to-end credit lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide credit advisory and analytical support to Relationship Managers and Coverage teams.

  • Manage end-to-end Credit & Lending servicing, including reviews, renewals, and approvals.

  • Conduct financial analysis, credit assessments, and rating recommendations.

  • Support client outreach and participate in deal discussions with clients and Credit Risk partners.

  • Deliver BCO responsibilities in line with defined OKRs, SLAs, and KPIs.

  • Act as First Line of Defence, ensuring strong credit risk controls and policy adherence.

  • Build effective relationships with Business and Risk teams, balancing commercial and risk objectives.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and client experience.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong foundation in corporate lending and credit risk analysis.

  • Solid understanding of wholesale banking products and financing instruments.

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and financial modeling skills.

  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in complex situations.

  • High attention to detail with a questioning and risk-aware mindset.

Qualifications

  • Graduation degree is mandatory (required for work permit).

  • Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is highly desirable.

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, credit analysis, relationship management support, or similar roles.
