Position Overview

UST is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Associate I – Accounting Control to join our Accounting Control & Data Quality Assurance Team. This role is ideal for individuals starting their career in accounting or financial operations who are eager to learn and grow in a global asset management environment.

As an Associate I, you will play an essential role in ensuring the integrity and validation of financial data within the Aladdin Accounting Book of Record, supporting client valuation reporting and performance calculations. You will work closely with internal teams to monitor, validate, and enhance data quality—contributing directly to the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Accounting Control team with day-to-day operational tasks and assigned deliverables

  • Perform quality control (QC) checks on the Aladdin Accounting platform using dashboards and automated tools

  • Assist in preparing datasets for periodic valuation and performance reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Resolve basic queries related to accounting control activities and uphold high standards of data quality

  • Follow established processes and procedures while contributing to global process consistency

  • Participate in reviews of systems and workflows, suggesting enhancements and process improvements

  • Escalate issues and data discrepancies to Senior Analysts for timely resolution

  • Build strong working relationships with team members, internal stakeholders, and operational teams

  • Collaborate effectively across functions to ensure smooth and accurate data flow

  • Perform assigned tasks under supervision and seek guidance as needed from senior team members

Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Solid problem-solving ability with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced financial environment

  • Interest in, or basic understanding of, the Securities or Fund Management industry (preferred but not mandatory)

  • Adaptable, open to feedback, and eager to contribute to process improvement initiatives

  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse environment
