Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Payroll Unit by ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, data integrity, and compliance with company and statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Process employee payrolls accurately and in compliance with policies and legal requirements.

• Manage HR and payroll data gathering, accounting, internal reporting, and tax remittances.

• Prepare supporting documentation for payroll reports, audits, and tax filings.

• Conduct analysis and reconciliations; resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.

• Maintain adequate documentation to support internal controls and process guidelines.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to resolve complex payroll queries.

• Provide training and guidance to new team members.

• Support leadership during peak volume periods.

• Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of related experience in payroll, accounting, or finance.

• Strong understanding of payroll principles, accounting practices, and tax compliance.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with payroll systems/software.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage time effectively and work under tight deadlines.
