Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation of bank accounts related to African operations.
  • Control and make sure that all transactions regarding the closing instructions are done properly.
  • Follow-up, collect, verify, control, and file all supporting financial documents of the African operations and confirm that the reports sent by the finance managers on a weekly and monthly basis are duly supported by the remitted documentation (tax declaration, rent contract, and payments, payment due invoices, etc.)
  • Coordinate with finance managers to complete assigned tasks within the deadlines.
  • Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions.
  • Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Review documentation and contracts regularly to develop and improve internal control.
  • Compare and validate financial figures and data received from online providers across Africa daily.
  • Assist in managing the cash flow and supervising financial transactions within the company to ensure there are no discrepancies in reports.
  • Maintain a highly organized and updated filing system.

About You

  • Internationally recognized degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, OR a professional certification (ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in finance and accounting in a fast-paced and complex environment.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced expertise with Tally, Sage Accounting Software (incl. Data-Import), or other relevant accounting software.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel with hands-on experience on VLOOKUP, Formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.
