Position Overview

As an Associate – ERP – Indirect Tax with 2–4 years of experience, you will be part of PwC’s Tax Services team, helping businesses navigate complex indirect tax regulations through the use of advanced ERP systems and tax technology solutions. At PwC, our tax professionals support clients in tax planning, compliance, strategy, and technology-enabled process optimization.

In this role, you will contribute to validating clients’ compliance with tax laws, analysing financial data, preparing tax deliverables, and implementing technology-driven indirect tax solutions. You will collaborate across teams, build strong client relationships, and help organisations optimise their tax processes while reducing risks of non-compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support go-to-market strategies for indirect tax technology solutions.

  • Manage and deliver complex indirect tax projects, including global tax exposure.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term engagement success.

  • Collaborate with Tax teams and the wider PwC network to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Manage multiple priorities and break down complex tax/tech concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate a strong interest in tax technology, digital tools, and automation.

  • Uphold PwC values—integrity, teamwork, innovation, and client care.

  • Review and analyse financial data to validate compliance with tax laws and regulations.

  • Prepare, file, and support indirect tax returns and related documentation.

  • Participate in ERP and technology projects involving deployment, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Contribute to business analysis, process mapping, solution design, and report writing.

Job Profile – Required Experience & Skills

  • 2–4 years of experience in ERP software and system integration (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based applications (deployment, configuration, maintenance).

  • Strong skills in business analysis, process mapping, and report writing.

  • A problem-solving mindset with a passion for reimagining what’s possible.

  • Commitment to integrity, collaboration, and client-focused delivery.

  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with supervisors, managers, and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills & Expertise

  • Data expertise: Alteryx, data interpretation, structuring, cleansing, calculations, reporting.

  • Cloud EPM platforms: Anaplan, Longview, Blackline, Workiva.

  • ERP/EPM systems: Oracle, SAP, Microsoft (including data ecosystem setup & reporting).

  • BI & project management: Financial/Master Data setup, CoA design, UAT, documentation.

  • Tax technology solutions: SAP DRC, SAP PAPM, Oracle Fusion, SAP FI TAX S/4HANA, OneSource Indirect Tax engine, or other indirect tax engines.
