Job Description:
As a US Tax Accountant, you play a pivotal role in delivering accounting and tax services that help our small business owner clients, and will become the leader of the accounting and bookkeeping team that we intend to build as our business continues to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review 100 individual 1040 tax returns within 2 months, as good or better than I would do them.
- Prepare and review 25 partnership (1065) and S corp (1120-S) tax returns during the same 2 months, as good or better than I would do them.
- Set up Xero bookkeeping files for ten small business clients who either are being converted from Quickbooks, or who have never really done any bookkeeping for their business before, during the same two months.
- Run the monthly and quarterly bookkeeping process of recording and reconciling transactions in Xero within 10-15 days of period ending for those 10 small business clients.
- Document their workflows and create Standard Operating Procedures
Qualifications:
- You have obtained your CPA (or equivalent) accounting designation
- You have at least 3 years of accounting experience
- You have at least 2 years of US tax experience preparing business (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120-S) and personal (Form 1040) tax returns
- You have experience working in an accounting firm and working with dozens of clients
- You are a clear communicator, comfortable with writing and speaking in English
