Position Overview<\/strong><\/h4>\n

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Professional to manage end-to-end payroll operations across Japan, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. The ideal candidate should have strong regional expertise, deep knowledge of local statutory requirements, and hands-on experience with multi-country payroll processes. This role demands accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external payroll vendors.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h4>\n
1. End-to-End Payroll Management<\/strong><\/h5>\n
    \n
  • \n

    Manage the complete monthly payroll lifecycle for Japan (JP), China (CN), Taiwan (TW), and Hong Kong (HK).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Handle input validation, payroll calculations, reconciliations, and payment execution.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Ensure accurate processing of salaries, benefits, statutory contributions, taxes, deductions, and final settlements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Coordinate with local payroll vendors to ensure smooth data flow and SLA adherence.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Process off-cycle payments, bonuses, and special payroll runs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    2. Compliance & Statutory Reporting<\/strong><\/h5>\n
      \n
    • \n

      Act as the SME for payroll compliance across JP, CN, TW, and HK.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Ensure adherence to local labor laws, tax rules, pension schemes, and statutory contributions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Manage filing of statutory reports and year-end obligations (e.g., Japan Year-End Adjustment, HK Employer\u2019s Return).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Stay updated on regulatory and legislative changes affecting payroll operations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      3. Data Management & Audit<\/strong><\/h5>\n
        \n
      • \n

        Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of payroll data with proper documentation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Prepare payroll-related reports for Finance, HR, and Management (GL, cost centers, analytics).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Support internal\/external audits with documentation and clarifications.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Maintain and update payroll data in HRIS\/Payroll systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, SAP).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        4. Stakeholder Management<\/strong><\/h5>\n

        • \n

          Serve as the primary contact for employee payroll queries and issue resolution.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Collaborate with HR, Finance, Accounting, and Treasury teams on payroll funding, reconciliation, and budgeting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen regional payroll processes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Required Education<\/strong><\/h4>\n

          • \n

            Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Preferred Education<\/strong><\/h4>\n

              Master\u2019s Degree in a relevant discipline.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Required Technical & Professional Expertise<\/strong><\/h4>\n

              • \n

                3\u20135 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              • \n

                Hands-on experience with payroll for Japan, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong is mandatory.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              • \n

                Strong understanding of local statutory regulations, tax rules, and social security\/pension schemes in all four regions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              • \n

                Proficiency in HRIS\/Payroll systems (SuccessFactors\/SAP) and advanced Excel.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              • \n

                Fluency in English; proficiency in Japanese and\/or Mandarin\/Cantonese is highly desirable.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
