This approach is purpose-built to handle the complexity of the evolving insurance landscape and is flexible enough to meet the diverse needs of various market segments and business lines including: \u2022 Derivatives \u2022 Hedge Accounting \u2022 RML (Residential Mortgage Loan) \u2022 CML (Commercial Mortgage Loan) \u2022 Bonds & Equity \u2022 OIA (Other Invested assets) \u2022 Corporate Reporting \u2022 Fortitude Re \u2022 NII (Net Investment Income) \u2022 Global Real Estate (GRE) \u2022 Data Management \u2022 GL accounting Roles and Responsibilities: \u2022 Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting of investments, ensuring accurate and timely entries in the general ledger. \u2022 Reconcile investment transactions, including capital calls, distributions, settlements, and accruals. \u2022 Maintain investment portfolios across various asset classes such as equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and derivatives. \u2022 Assist in the valuation of investments, including pricing validation and ensuring accurate mark-to-market reporting. \u2022 Prepare accurate and timely investment reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies, including management reports, financial statements, and fund performance metrics. \u2022 Support the preparation of financial reports related to performance and compliance requirements. \u2022 Collaborate with investment-related departments such as Bonds, CML, RML, OIA, Data Governance, Corporate Reporting, Derivatives, Fortitude RE, GRE, GL accounting, NII as well as Risk Management and Compliance, to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory adherence. \u2022 Assist in implementing and adhering to internal controls, ensuring accounting and reporting procedures align with industry best practices. \u2022 Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, including GAAP and STAT. \u2022 Support audit processes by providing required documentation and clear explanations related to investment accounting transactions. \u2022 Participate in special projects involving investment accounting, reporting enhancements, and system\/process improvements. \u2022 Provide analysis and insights as needed by senior management or external stakeholders.
