Where you\u2019ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Finance Control team by managing the wide projects including Legal entity reporting. At Barclays, we don\u2019t just adapt to the future \u2013 we create it. You will also be responsible for managing Legal Entity Control function and related businesses by driving resolution for key business issues.<\/p>\n<h4>Responsibilities:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Management of the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, and other accounting records in accordance with the relevant accounting standards, rules and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Support in identification,\u202fassessment,\u202fand mitigation of financial risks, and report on these financial risks to senior colleagues.<\/li>\n<li>Development and maintenance of a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure that there is no fraudulent misreporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial data, including regular assessment of the effectiveness of internal controls addressing any weaknesses or gaps.<\/li>\n<li>Development and implementation of up-to-date financial policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective financial practices across the organisation.<\/li>\n<li>Management of the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, including collaboration with IT colleagues to integrate financial systems with other enterprise systems.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reports to authorities, and provision of support to other departments in their preparation and review of regulatory reports.<\/li>\n<li>Coordination with external auditors and regulatory authorities in support of audits and examinations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Skills:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Good stakeholder engagement skills and understanding<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter, pro-active and a team player<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communicator<\/li>\n<li>Eye for detail and exception track record in managing and resolving conflict situations<\/li>\n<li>Minimal supervisory oversight and able to perform duties with minimal or no guidance<\/li>\n<li>Assertiveness, tenacious and control focused<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Qualifications:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualified Accountant and Post qualification experience<\/li>\n<li>3 to 5 years post-qualification experience in financial reporting, accounting, or similar roles.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a month-end or quarter-end focused reporting role<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of the key accounting principles under IFRS<\/li>\n<li>Strong Excel skills<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience with either SAP or
