\u2022 Apply knowledge of accounting principles to activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and
\ndeveloping financial statements and reports.
\n\u2022 Update and review monthly account reconciliation.
\n\u2022 Assist internal and\/or external audit process as required.
\n\u2022 Ensure that the internal financial reporting requirements of the company are met.
\n\u2022 Responsible for contract invoices bi-weekly in accordance with contractual terms.
\n\u2022 Close monthly by analyzing accounts, preparing journal entries to include company allocations, and calculating
\ndirect\/indirect costs, rates and revenue recognition.
\n\u2022 Analyze financial statements and contract performance to provide evaluation of variances for preparing bid,
\nbudgets and forecasts.
\n\u2022 Conduct cost, schedule, contract performance, variance and risk analysis, and proposal preparation.
\n\u2022 Train\/assist co-workers in software and information systems to support accounting functions.
\n\u2022 Audit accounts payable and payroll for accuracy.
\n\u2022 Coordinate with the site staff to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other specific
\nrequirements.
\n\u2022 Perform other qualified duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Knowledge of accounting that includes spreadsheets and relational database programs for data processing
\ntechniques.
\n\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
\n\u2022 Excellent communication and people skills.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Cost Accounting
\nStandards (CAS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
\n\u2022 Knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred.
