Position Overview

The Senior Tax Advisor will be responsible for supporting tax reporting and compliance processes while ensuring adherence to applicable tax laws and accounting standards. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing statutory filings, and assisting in audit responses, making it ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in tax regulations and financial accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support tax reporting and compliance activities with a strong understanding of the Internal Revenue Code or applicable statutory requirements.

  • Participate in the monthly general ledger close, analyze accounting data, and perform account analyses for balance sheet and income statement accounts.

  • Review the work of junior team members and recommend improvements in internal controls and compliance practices.

  • Evaluate assumptions made in tax calculations and ensure conclusions are supported by applicable tax laws.

  • Assist in preparing statutory filings, tax returns, and documentation for audits.

  • Provide support to Tax Managers during audits and in response to tax authority inquiries.

  • Contribute to optimizing tax processes and ensuring accuracy in reporting and documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field required.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in taxation, accounting, or financial reporting.

  • Strong understanding of tax laws, financial accounting principles, and compliance frameworks.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting software.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
