Position Overview

As an Accountant at Sattva Consulting, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, accounting, and statutory compliance. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain precision in financial transactions, manage payables and receivables, and support audits and payroll processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity of a global impact consulting firm while working on meaningful projects that create real social value.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable & Associated Processes

  • Record customer details and accounts receivable pipeline in QuickBooks / Accounting System.

  • Raise and record invoices and debit notes accurately and on time.

Accounts Payable & Associated Processes

  • Record and process vendor payments, allocating expenses to the correct cost centres and projects.

  • Manage business utilities, taxes, and vendor payments efficiently.

  • Verify employee reimbursements for compliance with company policy and process approvals promptly.

  • Prepare accurate Income Tax, GST, and other statutory returns (monthly, quarterly, and annually).

  • Support audits and statutory filings in coordination with third-party consultants.

Payroll & Statutory Compliance

  • Process employee salaries and cross-verify payroll data shared by the Business Operations team.

  • Ensure timely payment of statutory obligations.

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams on changes in policies, payment processes, or banking details.

  • Address queries from employees or clients related to tax, payments, and accounting matters.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (Master’s is an added advantage).

  • 0–2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and analysis.

  • Knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
