Position Overview
As an Accountant – Accounts Payable at Volvo Group, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices in line with company policies and accounting standards. This position requires end-to-end handling of invoices, including validation, matching, discrepancy resolution, and reporting. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and vendors to maintain operational efficiency and support the company’s financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities

Process supplier invoices with precision and within agreed timelines.

Perform 3-way/2-way matching (PO, GRN, and invoice).

Review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.

Manage invoice rejections and resolve discrepancies with internal departments or vendors.

Accurately code invoices as per the chart of accounts and cost center structure.

Escalate and resolve exceptions promptly.

Ensure accurate month-end closing by recording invoices in the correct accounting period.

Prepare and maintain reports such as invoice aging, pending approvals, and rejections.

Assist with vendor reconciliations and address supplier queries efficiently.

Support audit requirements by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for process optimization.
Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and accounting principles.

Hands-on experience in invoice processing, coding, and matching.

Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for vendor and internal coordination.

Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Education & Experience

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance or equivalent.

Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable or Invoice Processing.
