Position Overview

The Junior Associate – Accounts Receivable (AR) will be responsible for managing the follow-up and resolution of healthcare insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement and accurate processing. The role involves initiating calls to insurance companies, analyzing denials and underpayments, and ensuring proper documentation in line with organizational and compliance standards.

This position is ideal for candidates with up to two years of experience in AR calling, medical billing, or revenue cycle management, as well as fresh graduates who are eager to build a career in the healthcare BPO domain. The role demands strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate outbound calls to insurance companies to check the status of pending or denied claims.

  • Follow up on denials, underpayments, and rejections to ensure claim resolution and timely payment.

  • Take corrective actions on claims and document all updates accurately in billing notes.

  • Prioritize pending claims from the aging report and follow up accordingly.

  • Handle denials, rejections, and LOAs (Letters of Authorization) for claim corrections.

  • Ensure all activities comply with HIPAA regulations and organizational security policies.

  • Maintain a professional and empathetic communication tone with insurance representatives.

  • Report information security incidents to designated authorities as per policy.

Skills & Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate in any discipline (required).

Experience:

  • 0–2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, AR Calling, or Healthcare BPO.

  • Freshers with excellent communication and analytical skills are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (preferred).

  • Typing speed of 25 words per minute (WPM) or higher.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Willingness to work in night shifts.

  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork orientation.
