Management Accountant

Position Overview:

The Management Accountant plays a crucial role in the finance team by providing financial analysis, reporting, and decision-support to the management team. This position involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and supporting business decisions. The Management Accountant will focus on providing accurate financial data to help guide business strategy and improve financial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and credit, ensuring they align with Hyatt International’s corporate strategies and brand standards.
• Manage daily reconciliations, month-end closing processes, and the preparation of month-end (ME) reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to meet organizational deadlines.
• Assist Hotel Management in overseeing hotel operations and provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and procedures.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and management abilities to supervise a team and ensure smooth operations within the finance department.

• Ability to perform detailed financial analysis, generate comprehensive reports, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.

• High level of accuracy in handling financial data, ensuring reconciliations and month-end closings are completed without discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• University degree or diploma in Finance, Commerce, or Hospitality/Tourism Management. CA certification would be a distinct advantage.

• A minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant in a larger operation, preferably within the hospitality industry.
