Associate II – Accounting Control

Position Overview

UST is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate II – Accounting Control (Data Quality Assurance) to join our Accounting Control & Data QA team. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in financial operations, accounting, or reporting who are looking to expand their expertise in a dynamic asset management environment.

As an Associate II, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the Aladdin Accounting Book of Record, directly supporting client valuation reporting and performance analysis. This role demands precision, analytical thinking, and collaboration across global teams to maintain high data quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute accounting control and data validation checks on the Aladdin Accounting platform using dashboards

• Support the preparation of periodic valuation reports (typically monthly), ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Validate accounting datasets and resolve data or reporting discrepancies

• Assist in implementing and monitoring business controls and quality assurance processes

• Collaborate with upstream teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth data flow and timely issue resolution

• Participate in workflow improvements, process documentation, and automation initiatives

• Identify recurring issues and contribute to sustainable corrective solutions

• Escalate unresolved or service-level issues to senior team members promptly

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and third-party partners

Must-Have Skills

• Strong understanding of financial operations, accounting, or reporting processes

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks efficiently

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Demonstrated eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally

• Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset

• Comfortable working in a global team and across time zones

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in the Securities or Fund Management industry

• Familiarity with the Aladdin platform or similar accounting/reporting systems

• Basic understanding of quality control and data validation techniques

• Exposure to valuation and performance reporting

• Experience with process improvement or automation tools

• Awareness of operational risk and internal control frameworks
